Human rights are inherent to all human beings. These rights are indispensable for all of us to pursue freedom and happiness and enable us to live as human beings. However, it is also true that behind the scenes of today’s globalized economy, human rights violations and serious issues closely related to such violations are hindering the sustainable development of the economy and society.
QUICK Corp. (hereinafter, “QUICK”) recognizes that “human rights are the most important rights to be respected” in continuing our business. In order to realize our Purpose based on this recognition, we hereby establish the “QUICK Human Rights Policy” to express our commitment to respect for human rights of all people affected by our own business activities. By promoting efforts to respect human rights, we contribute to sustainable development of the economy and society.

1. Basic Approach

QUICK endorses international norms on human rights, including the “International Bill of Human Rights*,” the “ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work**,” the “Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact,” and the “UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.” Based on these norms, we have established the QUICK Human Rights Policy (hereinafter, the “Policy”) to promote our efforts to respect human rights.

2. Scope of Application

The Policy applies to all officers and employees of QUICK (hereinafter, “we” or “our”). We also require our business partners and suppliers to endorse and comply with the Policy, and work together with them to promote respect for human rights.

3. Respect for Human Rights

We do not tolerate discrimination and harassment of any kind based on race, ethnicity, nationality, origin, gender, gender identity and sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or any other basis. We do not tolerate child labor or forced labor. We respect workers’ fundamental rights to organize, bargain collectively, and act collectively.

4. Responsibility to Respect Human Rights

We do not violate the human rights of those affected by our business activities. We understand that our business activities may have an impact on human rights, and we will take appropriate measures to correct any adverse impacts on human rights should they occur.
If adverse human rights impacts are caused by our business partners or suppliers, we respect human rights and urge them not to infringe on the rights.

5. Compliance with Applicable Laws and Regulations

We work to ensure full compliance with the laws and regulations applicable in each country and region in which we operate, and strive to respect internationally recognized human rights.

6. Human Rights Due Diligence

We set out and continuously implement a framework of human rights due diligence. Through this framework, we monitor and understand the adverse human rights impacts we may have on society, and take appropriate measures to prevent or mitigate them. We disclose our progress and results in an appropriate and proactive manner.

7. Education and Training

We continuously provide appropriate training to all officers and employees to ensure that the Policy is understood and incorporated throughout our business activities.

8. Remedies

Should any of our business activities directly cause, or be found to have indirectly caused, adverse human rights impacts, we will work to redress them through fair and impartial means.

9. Dialogue and Discussion

We are committed to discussing our responses to adverse human rights impacts with those affected by our business activities, drawing on independent, external human rights expertise.

10. Health, Safety and Welfare of Employees

We comply with applicable laws regarding wages, working hours, health and safety, and benefits. We are committed to reducing overtime work hours and paying wages at or above the minimum wage. Moreover, we provide a work environment where each and every employee can maintain physical and mental health and continue to work with vitality and enthusiasm. In addition, we take appropriate measures to address both physical and mental health risks, thereby maintaining and improving the health of our employees.

11. Contact for Report

We will establish a system for preventing or appropriately responding to human rights violations by establishing a contact point for reporting from those affected by our business activities and operating them appropriately in accordance with our operational rules.

12. Freedom of Expression and Protection of Privacy

We acknowledge freedom of expression and protection of privacy in all media, and make utmost efforts to ensure that they are not infringed upon.
