QUICK Corp. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Katsuyoshi Kondo, hereinafter referred to as “QUICK”) today commenced services offering the news feed function “QUICK Global Alert,” which gathers information related to geopolitical risks traveling around the world via SNS and other media and visualizes such information in essentially real time, on “Eikon” operated by Refinitiv Japan K.K. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Hideo Tomita), the Japanese subsidiary of the world’s leading financial data provider, Refinitiv. Reading the “QUICK Global Alert” together with the Reuter News Feed which is also on “Eikon” will enable multifaceted decision-making on risk events.
With the remarkable progress being made in today’s information-driven society, a succession of events that significantly impact the financial markets are materializing on levels that are different from that of general economic and corporate activities. Armed conflicts, natural disasters, and the recent spread of COVID-19 as well as the trade wars between the economic powers and statements by politicians and high-ranking central bank officials are significantly swaying the financial markets as geopolitical risks.
